Florida Hit and Run Baseball



Florida Hit and Run Baseball was founded in July 2006 By Midre and Annette Cummings. We started out with a group of kids that was mostly 10U playing 11U travel ball in AAU, USSSA, Triple Crown and IBC tournaments. Our first roster consist of in the picture on the left Joesph Learned, Zane Spencer, Shane Ludlow, Keegan Maronpot, Billy Ross, Anthony Liacuris , Tony Tremble y, Andrew Prozzillo, Mikel Cummings, Mijon Cummings, Luke Heinemann , Trevor Matthew and David Paul not shown in picture.  We practice out of Canal Park in Oldsmar FL for that season but than move to Dorsett park in Tarpon Springs ever sense.

After our losing inaugural season record of 1of 20. Florida Hit & Run hit some stumbling blocks along the way we lost some of our player and gain some new faces for Hit &  Run. Hit & Run join forces with Reggie Robinson 10U Saints. Hit and Run Keep getting better each season and In the summer of 2008 Hit & Run won their first AAU 12U State Championship. From that summer on Hit & Run has had winning records with every season sense.

That Fall season Midre wanted to see how the younger group of boys will play back down at their age level, so he split the team and started a 12U and 13U Team.

In the summer of 2009 Hit & Run Started a new winning Streak in the IBC World Series. Hit & Run won 3 straight titles before losing in 9 innings of pound for pound baseball in the semifinals to their  rivals from Columbus GA. the Georgia Black Crackers. Hit & Run lost to 5 to 4 after playing a repeat of 2011 championship game to Georgia.But that was one of the best games ever. Most of Hit & Run players are now playing high School  and are top prospects. After this Fall you are sure to see college commitments and in the near future playing professional baseball.
